RUTHERFORD COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY (RCHS)

Rutherford County Humane Society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that has served Rutherford County since 1979. Their mission is to significantly improve the lives of unwanted and neglected animals and to decrease this number through their spay and neuter programs and successful adoptions. They are an independent organization, not affiliated with any government or national organization. They have no brick-and-mortar facility. All of their adoptable pets live at the homes of individual foster parents in the area. They have no paid employees, but they have a strong band of passionate volunteers, and they rely on the financial support of members of this community.

In 2021, they spent $157,196.90 on vet fees, and $19,422.50 on food and supplies which put 489 animals in new homes and helped many more.
