SOUTHERN PAWS ANIMAL RESCUE (SPAR)

Debbie McLawhorn served 29 years in Law Enforcement and during those years she handled many abused and neglected animals. When she retired she started Southern Paws Animal Rescue (SPAR). They are a passionate and committed 501c3. SPAR works with law enforcement to help save any breed from neglect, abuse and abandonment. They also participate in the court cases and are the voice of the animals to get convictions. Their goal is to restore each animal back to health so they can have a forever home. If they are not adoptable, then they will spend the rest of their life at the SPAR sanctuary getting lots of love. 

SPAR does not limit their sanctuary to just dogs as they have cats, horses, goats and pretty much anything in need of saving. They place their animals on PetFinder to look for their forever homes. They also have two amazing trainers that work with their babies weekly, Jimmy Hefner and Tammy Woods, who are local and a blessing. They are also blessed with support from Foothills Animal Clinic which helps each and every one of their animals. The majority of SPAR donations go to cover medical expenses as they take the tough cases that many others do not want.
