Join the fun -- 3 hours a week makes the wheels go round!
Our volunteers can contribute in many ways:
- Most have a set 3 hour shift once per week (Open hours: 10-4 Wed-Sat.)
- 2 or more volunteers work together to price new donations, merchandise & clean, and ring up sales.
- Our goal is to make sure everyone who comes in the shop wants to do a happy dance on the way out because they found such good bargains & made such a good difference!

In addition to our weekly shop ambassadors of goodness,
we are always looking for volunteers who can:
- do furniture pickups (having a truck/trailer is a bonus!)
- write grants & help with fundraising
- make donations even better than new through upcycling & repairs
The truth is, Lil’s Thrift Shop doesn’t just support animals, partners, shoppers, or donors—it nurtures friendships, purpose, and fulfillment among our volunteers.
A neighboring business owner often stops by trying to figure out our “secret sauce.” The answer is simple: we love what we do, who we do it with, and why we’re doing it.
In 2025, 34 volunteers gave 4,876 hours in the shop, plus countless hours from our board. The value of that service to our community is truly priceless.
Our board most definitely isn't bored
Finally, we have a supercharged board of directors who work hard behind the scenes to lead the Lil's team both in near and long-term goals. The board in 2026 is made up of 5 women who collectively have worked for decades in the corporate world. Some of their experiences include: leading corporate diversity training at Disney, teaching, retail, managing a practice of doctors, flight attendant, interior decorating, managing a bed & breakfast, and more! It's exciting to see how all of those different jobs, as well as the incredible life experiences of the entire Lil's team, come together to make Lil's an awesome place to make a difference.
